I’m in a rare mid-summer break from shooting weddings, so we took advantage last week and loaded up the car for a trip to Telluride to catch the RIDE Festival. Beck has been one of my very favorite artists for nearly 20 years, so when I saw he was headlining the festival, I immediately bought tickets, and he did not disappoint. I wasn’t even fully convinced Jill would like the show, but I don’t think there was ever a five minute break from full on dancing…and she was even excited to get tickets to see him two nights later at Red Rocks. Other highlights from the RIDE Festival were the John Butler Trio, Kaleo, Ben Harper, Jackie Greene, Rival Sons, and Colter Wall. I was scared to try taking my camera gear in for the first day and a half, but then got confirmation from other attendees that I’d be fine trying to bring it in, so I was able to get some incredible shots of the Beck set, and some of Kaleo’s. There’s a few fun shots from our hike up to Bridal Veil Falls the next day too. That was by far the most terrifying driving experience of my life, but well worth it. Anyway, on to the photos!
